Mr. Tess provided some good eats while I was busy working on the elephant and lion project: roast chicken, pasta and dill salad with salmon, spaghetti with tomato and beef sauce, and Japanese curry with rice.

  1. I am looking forward to learnign more and trying some of these recipes. I cook some Japanese foods with my mother but it usually the same things over and over so your website and efforts are very much appreciated!

  2. Hi “Another Tess”!

Thank you so much for your comment. Glad to hear from another Tess! Enjoy cooking with your mother.

I’m hoping to get to a point where I CAN cook Japanese foods over and over as a matter of routine.

We used to see turtles—I don’t know what kind— near our house years ago, but it’s been at least 10 years now since the last siting. We’re near a small wetland, and turtles used to come up to lay eggs in sand piles near our house.
