
Menma, bamboo shoots, are a popular topping for many varieties of ramen. This is the very nice and spicy menma I bought recently to make shoyu ramen.

This pirikara menma is flavored with ‘fungas,’ soy sauce, water, soybean, wheat, salt, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, salt, red pepper, sesame oil, msg, citric acid, and food coloring. Should you decide to make your own, use the link to a recipe below.
